Greetings From the Chair, June 2017

Posted on Posted in Club, News

Greetings!

I apologize for not providing more timely information, but as you may already know, I have been in and out of the area the past weeks and will be out again next week. In the meantime:

Information regarding collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia continues to evolve, Trump continues to undermine anything good and positive, and Republicans continue to legislate with a blind eye to the erosion of Democracy.

I want to thank all of you who have been sending articles and information to me. It has been very helpful in keeping me informed. Special thanks to Nance and Jane!

Trump Pulls out of the Paris Climate Agreement
His decision is unpopular with the vast majority of Americans. The backlash has resulted in a number of states and and over 65 mayors declaring they will continue to work towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.

We must all urge our legislators to support the climate change agenda of the Paris Climate Agreement, and we must urge corporations to work toward mitigating their effects on escalating climate change. This isn’t over yet!

LaMalfa Protests Every Tuesday

LaMalfa continues to support the Trump agenda. He has given no evidence of questioning Trump’s fitness as a leader.

Jim Henson from Paradise Ridge Democrats has provided this information to DeDoug-CD1 supporters.

EVERY TUESDAY – Visit with LaMalfa / Resist Trump Tuesdays will be held in AUBURN, OROVILLE, REDDING, and ROSEVILLE

Weekly rallies at LaMalfa’s Oroville District office to educate and inform the public and help our Representative to hear our concerns.

Oroville: 3pm – 4pm every Tuesday,LaMalfa’s Oroville Office, 2862 Olive Hwy, Oroville

If you are in Doug LaMalfa’s District 1, near OROVILLE: 3 pm to 4 pm protests (on the public sidewalk) along Olive Highway has lots of traffic, if LaMalfa’s office is closed.

When meeting with Congressional staff please bring a letter to the congress member with your concerns about pending legislation and asking for a reply. At least a total number of 6 attendees per Tuesday rallies is needed in order to stay effective every week.
