- Trumpcare never made it to a vote. At first Trump blamed Democrats then he blamed the Freedom Caucus and threatened to work with Democrats.
- Trump threatened Rep. Mark Sanford via Trump surrogate Mike Mulhavey: “The president asked me to look you square in the eye and say that he hoped you voted “No” on the health care bill so that he could run a challenger against you.
- Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 36%
- Trump has golfed 14 times in the last 10 weeks at a cost of over 3 million dollars to tax payers each visit. Trump benefits financially as security personnel and visitors are using Trump’s facilities for which he is being compensated.
- Keeping Melania and Baron in Trump Towers all year would cost tax payers more than 50 million a year.
- The Trump White House has a combined wealth of 12 billion dollars.. Why don’t they pay for some of the outrageous costs they accrue?
- Courts have held up implementation of Trump’s revised Muslim ban as it, too, is viewed as unconstitutional.
- Courts have affirmed that defendants have a right to sue Donald Trump for inciting Trump supporters to become violent towards protesters during his campaign rally in Louisville. He directed the crowd to “Get ‘em out of here!”
- The Trump administration will no longer keep visitor logs of individuals who visit the White House or Mar-a-Lago open to the public.
- The LA times reported that the Trump administration will no longer disclose how many troops will be sent to Syria and Iraq. They believe this give them an element of surprise!
- Trump has made 317 false or misleading claims since taking office: PolitiFact rates 70% of his statements as false or mostly false.
- Trump has placed his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in charge of overhauling the federal bureaucracy, reforming care for veterans, fighting the opioid addiction crisis, and securing peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
- Trump appoints Ivanka as his personal assistant. He has given her high security clearance.
- Trump appoints Chris Christie to help Kushner deal with the opioid crisis. Christie was responsible for putting Jared’s father in jail.
- Trump’s tax plan would give a total of 600 billion in tax breaks to the rich. His plan may add as much as 6. Trillion to the national debt.
- Trump will help pay for the border wall with funding cuts to programs such as Meals on Wheels, NPR and NPS, housing assistance, Planned Parenthood, EPA grants and funding.
- Scott Pruitt, EPA Head is being sued to force him to act on heat driven salmon kills.
- Jeff Sessions has given permission for the continued use of chlorprifos on food crops, despite research by the EPA last fall that determined they were harmful to children and farm workers.
- Trump has given Jeff Sessions the authority to withhold federal monies for hospitals and other programs in sanctuary cities.
- Southern Poverty Law Center reported that 1/5 of all hate crimes are committed in Trump’s name.
- ICE has deported 1400 honorably discharged vets who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, but had minor criminal offenses after being discharged. Joblessness and PTSD were major factors in engaging in offenses.
- Trump sent a new guide to all 4.2 million federal employees which bans the use of climate change and global warming as they are “antiquated ideas for nerds and crybabies”. Also banned from use are phrases like “science shows”.
- Mike Flynn has indicated that he is seeking immunity for testifying about his involvement with Russia.
- Trump flees the White house office before signing 2 executive orders when the press asked him about Mike Flynn. Pence chased after Trump to get his signatures.
- FBI Director James Comey confirms that Trump’s allegations of Obama wiretapping are false.
- Devon Nunes, head of the house intelligence committee, secretly obtained information from White House staff on White House grounds. Nunes failed to share the information with the Intelligence Committee but shared it with Trump, one of the persons they are investigating. The information apparently vindicates Trump’s wiretapping accusations.
- CBS News learned that the FBI is investigating whether Trump’s campaign representatives had a role in helping Russian Intelligence in March of 2016
- Trump Tower was under surveillance in 2013 under a court approved warrant to eavesdrop on a sophisticated Russian organized crime money laundering network that operated out of 63A in Trump Towers.
- Rex Tillerson plans to miss a NATO meeting in April, but will travel to Moscow later in the month.
- The RNC hired a Russian connected intelligence firm to dig up dirt on Hillary Clinton.
- Mike Pence cast the deciding vote to demolish Title X protections for women’s access to birth control.
- American air strikes killed 56 civilians in a Syrian mosque.
- American air strikes are being investigated as the cause of death of over 200 civilians in Syria. Allegedly, leaflets were dropped to tell them to stay in their homes which were then bombed.
- Trump and Tillerson have hinted at a preemptive strike against North Korea.
- State Department employees have been instructed to not make eye contact with Rex Tillerson.

I don’t believe that you feel that Trump was a better choice. The last election had two candidates who were contenders, Trump and Hillary. The other candidates did not have any chance of winning the election. To my mind, not voting for Hillary was a vote for Trump. We now have a Trump presidency. Are you happy with the outcome? I am mortified. The question is, what will you do to help stop the attack on progressive legislation that people like me have fought for, for the last four or more decades.
