The California Rural Coalition and the McGuire campaign are inviting us to help elect Democrats by participating in the first “Day of Action” to “Get Out The Vote” (GOTV) in rural California.
PCDCC will be hosting a training and canvassing event in Quincy. We are inviting all former and new volunteers to attend the August 29th “Day Of Action”! Snacks are provided, but the schedule is tight so bring a sack lunch!
We will provide canvassers campaign literature for Mike McGuire, our Congressional candidate, and Dianna James, our Assembly candidate. We will also provide voters information regarding “Protecting Your Vote” as well as voter registration forms and voter information.
- Volunteers will be working in Teams.
- Be prepared for heat!
- Wear comfortable shoes and bring water and sun protection!
- Be sure to charge your cell phones for use with the Van Mobile app!
Day of Action Schedule:
10:00 – 12:00 AM – Meet at the Quincy Library Conference room for canvassing training.
Snacks will be available,
12:00 -12:30 PM – A break between training and beginning canvassing to eat lunch, get organized, and ask questions.
12:30 – 2:00 PM – Teams receive turf assignments and can begin canvassing.
2:00 PM – Return to the library for a debrief. What was your experience? How can we improve? The event ends after debriefing.
